I'm Armin Mir. I came up on rock and blues, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, before jazz ever clicked for me. For years I practiced scales like everyone told me to, but the records never sounded like scales. They sounded like music. Then I found one book by Pat Martino that changed how I saw the whole fretboard, and everything opened up.
I've played jazz professionally for over 8 years, studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and taught over 100 guitarists to stop running scales and start playing real bebop lines.
